Simple Red Onion spicy Dip
« on: November 02, 2019, 12:06 PM »
Hi peeps this dip goes down well with the family

200g finely diced white onion

1 level tsp beetroot powder for colour
1 level tsp Mr Naga Pickle
2 level tsp smooth mango sauce
4 Dsp tomato ketchup.

Gently mix up all the ingredients and leave for an hour then stir before tasting to adjust levels of Naga / Mango to suit.

Ten mins to make, have a go :)

Hi JT

I get KTC in a five Ltr Pot, my daughter prefers it smooth so i put some in a jar and use a hand blender which works well, make sure its on the slowest speed possible otherwise you get thousands of little micro bubbles in it, sloow is good.

the sauce has a really nice "kick" to the size of kick depending on Mr Naga :Clown:

Phil, I'm guessing it's this one—although a chutney, note that mickyp says he blends it down (so is presumably chunky originally?). In other news: looks bloody tasty mickyp, thanks for posting!

Argh, stupid boy — I thought that by "mango sauce" he meant mango purée, not mango chutney !  Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa
