South Indian Garlic Chicken

I got this recipe from a Keralan member of one of my forums - dunno if it's right though :-\  the guy's a vegan lol

Ingredients:
Chicken pieces - 1 kg
Whole red chillies - 30 nos
(deseeded)
Garlic pods - 5 nos
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Onion - 4 nos
(thinly sliced)
Tomato - 4 nos
Oil - 4 tbsp

Preparation Method
1)Grind together red chillies, garlic and vineger.

2)Marinate the chicken pieces with the above for 30 mins.

3)Steam this on low fire, till half done.

4)Heat oil in a pan.

5)Fry onions, till brown and keep aside.

6)Heat up the remaining oil.

7)Fry chicken pieces, till done.

8)Add chopped tomatoes and cook, till it becomes soft.

9)Add cooked or excess water of chicken and boil well.

10)When the gravy becomes half thick, remove from flame.

:- Serve hot with fried rice.

and... ummm.... the onions...

Just put them aside - you'll never need them again. ;D
