Is this the place that has helped you with recipes?

Yes Pete they are nice bunch of people, very polite & just well nice, but then again it is a very different world down here in Cornwall.
I asked if the Chef does cooking lessons, "he doesn't normally" was the reply, but in the next two weeks (Christmas cards for the people there & one special one for the Chef thanking him for all the good food he`s cooked) i will be offering ?15 or ?20 per hour (CASH ?   ;)) see if that gives him incentive, & i will offer to have the lessons at my home (what spices shall i get for the lesson Chef ? hehehe !!), Ive got an Mp3 player with a microphone, Covert operations at the Vader Bungalow "Chefs on the premises now ..over" !! ;D
The base Gravy recipe they gave me is spot on & good enough to eat on its own.
I'M SOOOO CLOSE !!!!!!!!!!!
Although having looked at some photos of other members BIR`s (looked sooo Oily & of very poor quality) my local is putting some effort into making good Curries, smooth but with some whole & crushed spices in mmmm (don't forget those Spring onions & little bit of Coriander) Had their Biryani last night for tea & Vindalloo for breakfast ...yesss !!

Hi Darth
I have just eaten a sample of curry gravy that I was given, from a restaurant.
I never meant to
It was just so nice
I was intending to cook with it instead
You know, when people can cook as well as these chefs do, it makes me wonder why I bother.
They are brilliant every time and you don't stink out the house.
I get no end of complaints

Yes but if you cook my 99.9% base it doesn't`t stink the house out because it`s got loads of lovely Veggies in it, unlike KD`S, Which can make the house smell like something out of Chernobyl.
And its so good you can eat it as it is, Pete try a cut down version, just reduce everything by 50% see what you think.
All the best DARTHPHALL..... 8).....
