Now, back on topic : my top three would be "The Islands", "Ride On" (intrigued by the double-tracking in this one), and "Crazyman Michael".

For Jimmy : I first heard McAlpine's Fusiliers sung by Dominic Behan at the Well Hall Pleasaunce just about 50 years ago !

Hi and thank you for your comments. Jimmy and I have been recording these tracks for my mam as she is having some very nasty treatment for an illness at the minute and she asked for a song a week to get her through it. All of the stuff we have done has been recorded in my sitting room we had no intention of doing anything with it except to make my mam smile a bit hahaha but now it is going to become a cd called Sitting Room Sessions as it sums up what it is lol. We have really only been messing around with thte songs which is why some of the songs have had harmonies added as I was just interested in seeing if I could do them, some of the songs like Crazyman Michael,Slipjigs and Reels and Ride On I have sung for a long time but others like Wind beneath my Wings and Stuck in the MIddle we learnt as we recorded them (lots of fun).
As for coming to Kent haha you get us the gigs and we'll see what we can do :-)

Thank you again for your comments
 Jen

For Peter, Jen & Jimmy : are you familiar with "Sylvia and Golden" ? Sylvia is the sister of a long-time friend, and the style is not dissimilar to Jen & Jimmy.

no sorry Phil I started singing after a drunken night in a pub about 16-17 years ago but have never really been a big music listener ( makes no sense I know) although since I started singing I have to admit I love Fairport Convention and Christie Moore is great My ambition is to sing Who knows where the time goes at Fairports Cropredy Festival never happen but can keep dreaming hehehe
