I just assumed that was a bit of spin from Phil  ::)

I assumed he was simply showing his general disinterest in all things musical, prefering to listen to someone cycling in the Tour de France which wouldn't be a lot different to listening to daisies grow.  ::)

Pantani was a cyclist; compared to him, I am not even worthy of the brake dust on his rims.  But I do enjoy both (road) cycling and watching my betters do the same, and while I was searching for a recording of yesterday's Milano--San Remo race I came across "Italian legends in the Tour de France" (two-disc set) and decided to spend at least a part of this afternoon watching my all-time super-hero "il pirata" :)

No, I enjoy music from time to time (on the floor at the moment are an odd mixture of folk and early music CDs) but the question was "What are you listening to now", and I could hardly pretend I was listening to music when I was in fact listening to a DVD about Marco Pantini, could I ?  I probably spend many many more hours either cycling or watching cycling than I do listening to music, but that doesn't imply that I have no interest whatsoever in the latter, just that it is very much a minor part of my life.

Nice one!  I'm also a keen road cyclist, although I spend a lot more time riding (solo generally) than watching stuff.

I've been listening to some old King Crimson because a mate of mine in a rock band was looking for suggestions for some more covers:

I had forgotten how good these tracks are, prog rock at it's best.
Sadly the tracks are probably too hard to play for my mate's band.  :(
