My last bike before I decided my aging back was hurting too much riding it, a sad day.

Beautiful Blackbird there, CBM. A mate of mine had one and absolutely loved it. Some serious grunt!

It is indeed. Brands Hatch last year, heading out of Druids on the way down to Graham Hill.

(Though I couldn't get my knee down properly that day, as I forgot my sliders.)

Still, managed to scrub in a new set of tyres pretty well  ;D:

I would tell you what bike I used to ride, but someone will call it a girl's bike so I'd better plead the fifth  ;)

My one and only
BSA 250cc C15T - circa 1963.
Found this photo on the net, good restoration and the guy must be very proud.

I bought mine in 1970 and polished and drooled over it for 3 months until my 16th birthday. Used to be up on the back wheel in a blink, even when you least expected it.

All my mates had BSA/Triumph. Tiger cubs mainly and back then the JAP bikes were classed as a joke, until one of the lads turned up with a
Honda CB 250 straight out of the box, we all queued up for a shot. (the future) 8)

Anyway, I loved my BSA boneshaker, until I was old enough for my first car. (Cortina) ::)
cheers Chewy

Good find Chewy.

I may be a year or two younger than your good self, and Jap bikes were pretty much the norm when I was of age. My first bike at 16.

Graduated to this at 17

Yamaha RD250. Incase you didn't know the "RD" means "Rapid Death" :o Insane powed bands on this 2 stroker ('specially when yer best mate was always tinkering with th'engine to make it go faster)
