About time to say hello...

Seeing as I've been signed up for a while now thought it was about time to say hello and say thanks to all the contributors who have made my life as an expat bearable in this land where salt & pepper is considered exotic.

Finally got around to knocking up a few batches of base sauce over the past few weeks and without wanting to blow my own trumpet have managed to make better dishes in my own kitchen than I have tasted from any Indian restaurant here in Frankfurt.

Sterling work guys, I have a few pictures of some of the curries I've made so far and hopefully will get around to posting some up soon.

"Don't burn the spices" is the most dangerous truism of all - because it's incomplete. It should be "Don't burn the spices but do cook them!"
You'll never make BIR if you're too cautious frying your spices.....

Glad to hear you're having success already.  Post those pics :D.  Welcome to the forum.
