I might have missed a post if there is one here?
How much rice by weight in a take away portion? ( boiled or pilau) - please!

Just had a quick look at a couple of recipes I have, one calls for 75g per portion, the other states 250g for 3 to 4 portions (4 for me).

Hi
I know that a 120g sachet of flavoured rice when cooked fills a 500ml takeaway container.

It looks safe to safe about 80 - 85g per person would be sufficient

I use 75g per person, although i would say its a lot less than a TA portion. Perfect for a home curry and it leaves room for desert :-)
